The story centers on high school student Kyouko Hori, who has been hiding another side of herself, despite being admired at school for being friendly and good with her grades.

Hori also has to look after her younger brother and do all the housework, leaving no opportunities to socialize. However, by sheer luck she ends up crossing paths with Izumi Miyamura, a broody, glasses wearing otaku. However, he’s a gentle guy at heart but pretty useless at studying. By chance, the polar opposite pair begin growing closer together.
