Yakiniku with Friends Is Super Delish
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Episode 8 picks up where the previous episode left off. Minami’s mother informs her that Tsubasa is out on a date with a girl, and Minami immediately takes Sayuri along with her and hurries to the shopping center where they spend time together. After this, the two of them have been found peeking over Tsubasa and Rena’s shoulder during the entirety of their date.
To begin, Rena and Tsubasa go out and do some shopping. Following this, they spend time at the play zone, wherein Tsubasa wins a toy for Rena. After that, two of them go to the movies by themselves. The plot of the animated movie centers on a young woman who is not adequately acknowledged, and as a consequence, she resorts to overcompensating at work in order to get appreciation. Rena sheds tears because she is able to empathise with the character, and Tsubasa is aware of her feelings.
Tsubasa and Rena have a talk after watching the movie, during which they come to the realization that they share a great deal of similarities. When Rena asks Tsubasa if he gets lonely in Hokkaido, he tells her about his friends. After hearing Tsubasa praise her, Minami leaps out of her hiding spot. Immediately after this, Sayuri also appears, which causes Tsubasa to feel embarrassed.
After this, we see all four of them spending time together in the following scene. Minami expresses her admiration for Rena by stating that she admires the fact that she is always her best self, whether it is excelling at school or perfecting her makeup. This has a profound impact on Rena, who is not typically the recipient of compliments.
Immediately after this, the four of them make their way to Minami’s home. We see them enjoy barbeque together while having a conversation with Minami’s mom. In the final moments of the episode, Minami tells Tsubasa that it is her turn to go on a date with him next, and the episode comes to a close.
The Episode Review
In the eighth episode, Minami and Sayuri dash to the place where Tsubasa and Reina are going out on a date. The story of the movie’s protagonist causes Reina to shed tears, and she then proceeds to share the circumstances of her own life with Tsubasa. Tsubasa then proceeds to tell her his story after being made aware of his plight.
This episode, just like the ones that came before it, provides a hilarious, lighthearted, and delightful experience. Not only does the episode not accomplish anything significant in terms of the plot, but neither does the show as a whole. Additionally, the characters and their arcs are too simplistic and lack depth. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a show that is more laid back, you could enjoy this one.
