Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Episode 6 begins with the lecturer giving a heads-up about the impending examination. Following this, Minami freaks out. Having invested so much time in his studies, Tsubasa is eager to see the results of his efforts. After looking at Tsubasa’s enthusiasm, Minami suggests that they have a study party and invite Sayuri as well.

At the study party, the three of them decide to check their progress by asking each other questions from the course material. Tsubasa knows the answers to every question, while Minami has no clue. Following that, they start studying and reassure Minami that it’s not too late to get prepared.

Later that day, Tsubasa realises that he lost track of time while studying and it’s past his curfew time. After this, he dashes home, where his grandma scolds him for being late. The next day, on his way to school, Tsubasa meets a stunning girl named Rena.

After school, Minami suggests that they have another study party. Tsubasa and Sayuri both decline this time, though, stating that they must study separately. Rena is sound asleep in the library when Tsubasa arrives to study, and he finds himself captivated by her beauty.

To help Tsubasa focus and use his brain to its maximum potential, his grandma has scheduled a tea session for him to attend as soon as he returns home. Nevertheless, his neighbour Rena pays him a visit. His grandmother then watches him distracted by Rena. The episode ends with his grandmother threatening to force him to get back to Tokyo if he fails to rank in the top ten among his batchmates after Rena leaves.

The Episode Review

The sixth episode features a study party attended by Tsubasa, Minami, and Sayuri. Tsubasa gets disciplined for being late home because he can’t keep track of time. The following day, while walking to school, Tsubasa unexpectedly runs into the gorgeous Rena-senpai, who happens to be his neighbour. This revelation shocks him to no end.

Although the episode’s tone has become more serious, the plot is still entertaining and lighthearted. There is a general consensus that the show’s characters are endearing and pleasant. The characters are underdeveloped, though.

If you’re looking for a show with a solid storyline and strong characters, you might want to miss this one. However, if you’re in the mood for a lighthearted show, this is a good choice.
