Nighttime Calls Are Super Ticklish

In the opening scene of Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Episode 4, Tsubasa expresses his wish for a holiday from school due to the blizzard. Additionally, it seems like the ski excursion left him feeling extremely worn out. However, his grandma insists he must attend school despite the snowstorm if he is to be a real Hokkaido citizen since he is no longer a Tokyo resident.

The next scene shows Tsubasa braving the snowstorm on his route to class. It feels like he is struggling to make it through the snowstorm. However, much to his delight, Minami and her mother are driving past him. Minami then offers to take him to school. Tsubasa finds himself in all sorts of uncomfortable situations due to Minami’s mother, who is very similar to Minami, during the ride.

Sayuri stops by Tsubasa and Minami’s class during lunchtime at school. Sayuri has her gaming device in her hand, so Tsubasa asks her to teach Minami as well. Minami too requests Sayuri to become her teacher and the three of them have a lovely time together.

The three of them go to a local mall after school. As compared to the bustling malls he frequented in Tokyo, Tsubasa finds this one much more relaxing and peaceful. Following that, Minami and Sayuri consult Tsubasa before purchasing cosmetics.

Later that evening, Tsubasa has some questions about his homework. To get some clarification, he sends a message to Minami. Minami then video calls him from her bathtub and freaks him out. The next day, Minami gets in trouble with the teacher for not turning in her schoolwork, and the episode ends with her receiving some punishment.

The Episode Review

Episode 4 has Tsubasa being picked up by Minami and her mother, who are quite flirtatious, after he attempts to walk to class in a blizzard. Tsubasa, Minami, and Sayuri spend their free time at an enormous shopping mall after class. The night, while Tsubasa is in the bath, Minami surprises him with a steamy video call.

The plot is kept light and eccentric, much like in previous episodes, and it doesn’t establish anything substantial. Not only that, but the characters are flat. That was, however, to be expected, considering the show’s promotion.

Given the show’s exciting potential, we’re crossing our fingers that the plot improves going forward. However, we’ll have to wait and see how the storyline unfolds moving forward.
