Apple TV+ has been surprising everyone with the quality of its content. In 2023, the platform had a breakthrough year, giving us one hit after the other. Hijack may follow suit. Its interesting premise is inherently likeable and viewers will definitely be looking forward to this one. Idris Elba stars as the central character but details about his role are not clear at this point. All we know from his constant attempts to save himself is that he is a negotiator who is practical and realistic about what he wants from this dire situation.

Hijack will be available to stream globally on Apple’s streaming platform. Apple TV+ is available to watch in all the major geographies, including the US, UK, and the Asian continent. We are not currently aware of any other platforms that will be airing Hijack.

Hijack Season 1 Episode 7 Release Date

Hijack Season 1 Episode 7 will be released on Wednesday 2nd August at 12 am (PT)/3 am (ET). The new episode is titled “Brace, Brace, Brace”, and will be the final episode in the series. Since the entire series is told in real-time, expect this episode to pick up right in the aftermath of the sixth episode which ended with the biggest shock in the series yet as Amanda took charge of the plane. The title of the episode ominously suggests that a plane crash might be on the horizon.

Hijack’s season 1 has been commissioned for a total of 7 episodes, So after the sixth episode, season 1 of Hijack will be over. 

What happened in Episode 6?

Episode 6 of Hijack was full of intense drama. Firstly, it was revealed that Kai had successfully hidden away from the cleaners. Meanwhile, Neil and Louise, who had decided to release Edgar and John, kept a close eye on them through the team. They decided to “comply slowly” with the demands, giving enough time for Flight 29 to land safely and then take these blokes back. 

The plane was about to experience its first and only attempt by the passengers to take over. Sam orchestrated the whole thing by passing a juice pack with “Get ready to shake things up” written on it. We then took a turn toward learning the cause of the hijacking. The terrorists had short-sold the shares of the airlines and their insurers beforehand, anticipating the news to break out.

Devilin, representing Cheapside, contacted a financial journalist and threatened him to release the information about the hijacking after the markets opened. John and Edgar fooled the authorities and instead of going to the airfield, they took another route to escape. The episode ended with Amanda, a passenger we only saw in glimpses, taking a gun from her purse and killing Robin. She took control of the plane, determined to follow the instructions of her instructors.
