Apple TV+ has been surprising everyone with the quality of its content. In 2023, the platform had a breakthrough year, giving us one hit after the other. Hijack may follow suit. Its interesting premise is inherently likeable and viewers will definitely be looking forward to this one. Idris Elba stars as the central character but details about his role are not clear at this point. All we know from his constant attempts to save himself is that he is a negotiator who is practical and realistic about what he wants from this dire situation.

Hijack will be available to stream globally on Apple’s streaming platform. Apple TV+ is available to watch in all the major geographies, including the US, UK, and the Asian continent. We are not currently aware of any other platforms that will be airing Hijack.
Hijack Season 1 Episode 5 Release Date
Hijack Season 1 Episode 4 will be released on Wednesday 19th July at 12 am (PT)/3 am (ET). The new episode is titled “Less Than an Hour.” Since the entire series is told in real-time, expect this episode to pick up right in the aftermath of the fourth episode which ended with the relief of the Romanian fighter jets being ordered to stand down after it was confirmed by British counterterrorism that the target of the hijackers is London. The title of the episode ominously suggests that time to figure out what is going on and how to stop the hijack is quickly running out.
How many episodes will Hijack have?
Hijack’s season 1 has been commissioned for a total of 7 episodes, So after the fifth episode, we will have another 2 episodes to go.
What happened in Episode 4?
Episode 4 of Hijack revealed the first casualty of the hijacking: the young woman who tried to fetch Lizzy during the ensuing chaos. Stuart is not rattled by the shooting but all his colleagues are. Lewis is also shot badly in the abdomen and starts bleeding profusely. Sam, who has been tied up near to where Lewis is sitting, expertly uses his phone to send a voice message to Marsha confirming the hijacking and also giving a clue of who the hijackers might be.
The identities of the hijackers have been successfully determined by British counterterrorism, with Zahra and Daniel leading the charge from the front. We are still quite some way from learning the underlying cause of the hijacking. Kai, Sam and Marsha’s son, might be the subject of a kidnapping by the crew on the ground. This might spur the next episode to give us more clues about it.

Couldn’t watch the 3 final parts. I think that absolutely wrong. If I’d known what was about to happen I wouldn’t have bothered.I feel I’ve paid for my subscription under false pretences.
