Apple TV+ has been surprising everyone with the quality of its content. In 2023, the platform had a breakthrough year, giving us one hit after the other. Hijack may follow suit. Its interesting premise is inherently likeable and viewers will definitely be looking forward to this one. Idris Elba stars as the central character but details about his role are not clear at this point. All we know from his constant attempts to save himself is that he is a negotiator who is practical and realistic about what he wants from this dire situation.

Hijack will be available to stream globally on Apple’s streaming platform. Apple TV+ is available to watch in all the major geographies, including the US, UK, and the Asian continent. We are not currently aware of any other platforms that will be airing Hijack.

Hijack Season 1 Episode 4 Release Date

Hijack Season 1 Episode 4 will be released on Wednesday 12th July at 12 am (PT)/3 am (ET). The new episode is titled “Not Responding.” Since the entire series is told in real-time, expect this episode to pick up right in the aftermath of the third episode which ended with the sound of a gunshot. Who was hurt? We don’t yet know!  The title of the episode ominously suggests something unsavoury has happened that may upend the landscape that has been carved until now.

How many episodes will Hijack have?

Hijack’s season 1 has been commissioned for a total of 7 episodes, So after the fourth episode, we will have another 3 episodes to go, this one acting as the middle episode in the season.

What happened in Episode 3?

Episode 3 of Hijack finally saw the counterterrorism unit in British intelligence spur into action. Alice from the British flight path team represented their opinion on the issue to Zahra (Punjabi), who, with Daniel’s help, figured out the identity of the probable hijackers. On the plane, an Egyptian passenger Yussuf claimed that the guns used by the hijackers were fake. Although that gave hope to Hugo, Sam warned them not to do anything unless they were absolutely sure.

Sam and Hugo went through a series of different steps to ascertain from Naomi, the girl who found the bullet, what it looked like. When it was certain that the bullets were blank, Sam took on a dangerous plan to upend Terry, the most vulnerable of the hijackers. In the same breath, Stuart laid down his authority on the plane. In the end, he loaded real bullets in his gun and walked into the cabin.
