HIGH CARD – Season 2 Episode 7 Recap & Review

Prisoners

HIGH CARD Season 2 Episode 7 begins with the members of High Card held captive in a facility along with Burst. Sugar and a few employees of the police department overlook the facility. The members of High Card take the opportunity to catch up after many months.

TILT plans to invade the facility with Zenon. The members of High Card discuss the plans of the police.

Captain Greg meets with the King to return the cards, but he doesn’t return them. He instead demands to know what the royal family has been hiding. He has the king cornered, as everything is being recorded on a hidden camera. The king agrees to speak to him separately.

Sugar investigates Burst and questions her about Iris; meanwhile, TILT and Zenon break into the facility. Hearing the commotion, Burst realizes TILT is here, knocks out Sugar and picks up the cards before escaping.

Bernard also hears the commotion and uses an explosive to blow open the doors. TILT spots burst, but she runs from him as he demands the cards. High Card, Burst and TILT intersect. Just then, TILT begins to lose his mind and the King of Spades flies to him, transforming him into the Black Knight.

Burst attempts to save TILT by using X-hand, but it doesn’t work. This infuriates the Black Knight and he attempts to kill her, but Finn intervenes and saves her. Just then, Chris also arrives and rams the Black Knight with a car. Finn sees it as his opportunity to avenge his family and begins to shoot the Black Knight. The Black Knight retaliates with a pulse of energy, blowing all of them away.

Chris engages in one-on-one combat with the Black Knight and gets taken down. The Black Knight holds him up and right before he can be stabbed, time pauses and a man in a cloak appears at the end of HIGH CARD Season 2 Episode 7.

The Episode Review

HIGH CARD Season 2 Episode 7 finally makes it feel like High Card once again after a long interval of episodes. The team is back and united as the police hold them captive to investigate the matter. The Black Knight makes an appearance and it is revealed to be TILT using the King of Spades to transform. The episodes have not been very clear about the issues in TILT or Busts’ health, but that seems to be an issue influencing their actions.

After High Card came back together, things have only gotten worse and the police are to blame. Their intervention only increased problems for High Card and things have gotten a lot easier for the Klondikes.
