The iconic 2023 horror drama is finally returning with Season 2! Gyeongseong Creature is an exciting Netflix Original K-drama that aired its first season way back in December 2023 and joins the league of sci-fi and supernatural shows such as Sweet Home, Hellbound and Kingdom.
The K-drama follows the exploits of the Japanese troops in Korea as they experiment on prisoners while the Koreans fight for freedom. The creation of the Najin monster has different groups racing against time to save their loved ones while trying to take down Lieutenant Kato and his hospital. Season 1 ends with a disfigured Maeda, Kato holding Myeong-ja’s Najin-infected child, Seishin saving Chae-ok and Ho-jae, a Tae-sang look-alike living in modern-day South Korea.
Well, Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 begins with the Najin-infected Chae-ok running into Ho-jae who can’t seem to shake off the feeling that he knows her. They team up as Chae-ok needs to find someone while a killer terrorises the streets of Seoul. However, this is no ordinary killer as Kato’s experimentation has led to the creation of Kurokos, a group of humans who can control their Najin persona and and are hellbent on destroying Chae-ok and Ho-jae.
The series has Season 1 leads, Park Seo-joon as Tae-sang/Ho-jae and Han So-hee as Chae-ok returning. The cast also includes Bae Hyeon-seong, Lee Moo-saeng and Han Dong-hee and is helmed by Season 1 creators, Jung Dong-yoon and Kang Eun-kyung.

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 episodes will release on Friday 27th September at approximately 12am (GMT) / 7pm (ET). If you miss the episodes though, they will be available on the platform so don’t worry too much! At that point, the show will drop with subtitles available in several languages.
The episodes are expected to be roughly 1 hour long each, which is consistent with the time frame for the usual Netflix Originals.
