Tip The Girls

Episode 10 of Glamorous Season 1 begins with Marco doing a vlog for the company. Unfortunately, she messes with one popular influencer, Waverly. Her fans start coming for his head online and he realizes he messed with the wrong stans!

Meanwhile, Britt is being a supportive girlfriend to Venetia who is having a hard time getting a job. She suggests that Venetia tries to look for a job outside the beauty industry but Venetia is passionate and won’t give up. Britt then asks her to move in and she agrees. We learn that Marco has also been staying with Britt.

Marco goes to see his mom and says goodbye. He is scared of having to be alone in the big city and tries to get his mom to stay. However, Julie tells him that he is grown and that he will be fine. She assures him that he has always known what he wanted and leaves.

Elsewhere, Madolyn is struggling to hire Venetia’s replacement. She has been doing interviews but she is seemingly hung up on what happened with Venetia. She is also heartbroken and deeply affected by the fact that Chad is leaving. To add to her problems, her ex is in town and she now has to avoid going out so as not to risk running into him.

Chad also tells her that they are hitting a snag with the new organic formulas and they will need Venetia’s help. Madolyn asks Chad to reach out to Venetia but to be clear it is not a peace offering or a welcome-back opportunity.

With his mom gone, Marco has to find a new place to stay while also juggling the threats Waverly’s stans are throwing at him. Things have gotten serious and the Waverly stans are coming for other employees too. They are also showing up at the office with glitter bombs. Marco is also on Ben’s bad side after the whole July 4th saga. Ben is no longer talking to Marco and Britt is on team Ben but hopes that Marco will fix the problem.

Do Ben and Marco make up?

Well, after Britt scolds him for still being angry with what went down on July 4th, Ben decides maybe it is time he lets things go. He is still hurt but he starts talking to Marco and even tries to help him solve the Waverly situation.  Marco truly apologizes and Ben accepts his apology. All in all, it looks like they are ready to be friends again. Ben still has feelings for Marco but I think deep down he knows Marco is not ready for that.

How does Marco resolve the Waverly Stan situation?

Marco does a video where he apologizes but the heat is still on him. He decides to personally reach out to Waverly but that proves hard to do even with Ben’s help. He starts to give up and is ready to go on a social media cleanse but luckily for him, Waverly is moved and sends him a letter encouraging him to continue with his thing. I guess he will survive and live to post another day.

Does Venetia help Chad?

Venetia is happy to help Chad without expecting anything in return. She is sorry about what she did and wants to atone. After hearing this and talking to Teddy, Madolyn realizes that it is time to give people a second chance. She decides to hire Venetia back and give her a promotion. Everyone is happy to see her back and they celebrate her return.

Does Chad leave?

It is a bittersweet moment when Chad leaves. We all know that he needed to spread his wings away from his mom’s shadow. Madolyn is sad to let him go but also wishes him the best. At the end of the day, they will always be related and this seems like it will be a good thing for their relationship. Chad is an amazing son and Madolyn is lucky that he loves her enough to seek her validation so much. Marco is also saddened that his nemesis is leaving but he assures Chad that he will take care of Madolyn for him.

Is there hope for Madolyn and Teddy?

Unfortunately, they decide that they are better off as friends. They have great chemistry and Madolyn depends on Teddy a lot but we were really hoping that they would take the next step in their relationship.

Does Marco find a place of his own?

Marco moves in with Dizmal who was looking for a new roommate. The house is not exactly up to Marco’s standard but it will have to do.

Do Marco and Parker reunite?

Marco finally saw the red flags and is set on moving on even after running into Parker in the club. Parker is still playing his narcissistic games with his new boyfriend who is a spitting image of him. Thankfully, Marco is starting to get over him and that is what matters.

How does Glamorous Season 1 end?

Season 1 ends with Marco contemplating getting a gender transition. He is looking into meeting a transgender specialist and his mom gave him the support he needed to take this step. It is amazing that Marco is ready to know himself and Julie sees and embraces him for who he is.

However, the season ends with a cliffhanger as Madolyn’s ex makes his way to her office. What is he up to?

Episode Review

Overall, this was a great finale as most matters were resolved and it didn’t feel rushed. The season saw so many characters grow and glow and that’s the beauty of story-telling.  There are a few things that we would have loved to happen like Teddy and Madolyn dating but we can’t always get everything we want.

Fans can’t help but wish Marco well on his transition journey. Hopefully, we will see his journey if we get another season.

Our curiosity was piqued by the ending, we can’t wait to see what trouble Madolyn’s ex will bring and if they will get through the challenges.
