Full Circle Season 1 Episodes 3 & 4
Viewers are once again gearing up for another HBO offering this July. After the shock of The Idol, which polarized audiences and critics, creator Ed Solomon brings us the first season of Full Circle. The star-studded cast includes names like Claire Danes, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beets, and Dennis Quaid. From the looks of it, Full Circle seems to be a straightforward police procedural enhanced by cultural nuances and narrative surprises.
Arguably the biggest name attached to the project that has got the fans excited is Steven Soderbergh. The filmmaker is notoriously choosy in his projects and he definitely had to see potential in this show to come on board.
The first season will be six episodes long. The official synopsis of the show reads: “An investigation into a botched kidnapping uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present-day New York City.”

What happened in Episodes 1 & 2?
Episodes 1 & 2 essentially laid down the central conceit of the show. One of the main antagonists, Savitri Mahabir, runs an organized criminal syndicate under the guise of an insurance trust. She and her men kill vagrants and other delinquent individuals for insurance payouts for themselves. After the death of her brother-in-law, Savitri is beckoned to resolve a long-standing curse from her dead husband Ranwell’s misdoings.
To complete this “circle of suffering,” the man who has been inflicting misfortune on her family demands that she kidnap and kill a young boy. That target is Jared Browne, the grandson of Chef Jeff, a famous celebrity and public figure. Unbeknownst to him, Nicky, who is the same age as him, is stalking Jared and stealing his things. Savitri instructs his number two, Harry Garmen, to bring more men from Guyana – her hometown – to continue her operation.
Xavier and Louis arrive with high hopes. But after their first night of doing her dirty work, they realize they made a mistake. Postal Inspector Mel Harmony catches wind of these misdoings and gets herself involved in the case. As fortune will have it, on the night of the kidnapping, Nicky is kidnapped instead of Jared since he wore similar clothes and has a similar build. Despite that, Derek, Jared’s father, does everything possible to save Nicky’s life.
