Firefly Lane is a Netflix original drama that follows the lives of two best friends, Tully and Kate who have been together for almost 3 decades. The show utilizes flashbacks to wove their story and narrate their triumphs and losses.

What is part 2 of Firefly Lane Season 2 going to be about?

Part 1 of season 2 premiered on December 2nd and picked up from where we left off in season 1. The biggest mystery throughout the first episodes was who had an accident and whether they survived. Viewers couldn’t help but wonder how the accident influenced the girl’s break up. Part 2 will be the last chapter of the girls’ story as there will not be a season 3.

Part 1 ended on a big cliffhanger as Tully leaves for Antarctica and Kate gets saddening news. Part 2 is expected to continue this plotline and we will see if the girls will be able to mend their friendship.

The end of part 1 saw Kate’s fate hanging in the balance and we still don’t know if she was able to reach Tully before she left. Pretty much everything hangs in the air and we will have to tune in for part 2 to see how it all ends.

When will part 2 of Firefly Lane Season 2 release?

Netflix announced that Firefly Lane Season 2: Part 2 will premiere on June 8th, 2023. Part 2 will have seven episodes which are all likely to drop in one go.

  1. As I have already read the book , and also the second novel, I know exactly what is going to happen.
    Kate will reunite with Tully, and they will be friends again.
    Unfortunately, Kate doesn’t get rid of cancer and she will die in the end.
    Kate insists that Tully and Johnny should be together, and take care of Marah( in second novel, Marah will meet a boy named Pax(vicious man which turns her life apart while she is on a trip with Tully, but that is another whole story which ends beautifully).
    Tully and Johnny won’t get merried, but they will both take care of Marah and fullfill her life.
    I can’t say that this serie is 100% accurate, but it shows the essential.
    next novel for Firefly Lane is : Beyond the stars.
    I believe that Netflix will eventually create a side story for Marah, based on this novel. Of course, it will be a lot more different, but Firefly Lane readers will be in love with it.
    (Beyond the stars also contains Tully’s story about re-meeting Kate in her dreams, but also on hospital bed after a horrible accident. They will spend together time in her own mind, riding bikes like in their childhood. etc )

  2. Kate’s and Johnny’s daughter is getting married, Kate is gone and Tully is there, at the wedding, as her godmother.

  3. I would love to see Tully married and happy finally and Kate healed and married to Johnny. I don’t want her to die! I’ll be pissed off! They deserve happiness finally. after all they’ve been through. I won’t watch anymore shows if she dies.
