The God of Rescue
Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange Episode 3 begins with Daigo offering Shun the mask to breathe. He communicates to Shun that they will swap the mask every two to three breaths. Yuki takes them up to a window, and they hand the survivor to the other firefighter, who uses a ladder to commute.
Leaving the room, they board the survivor onto the stretcher and await the sergeant’s arrival. Sergeant Yamagami scolds them for swapping masks but acknowledges the effort to treat the dummy like a real survivor and doesn’t lay a penalty on the team.
Later, while clearing up, Shun asks Daigo why he removed his mask to help him out. Daigo explains that he had a feeling that Shun had taken off his mask. They notice they are more similar than they realize. Midway, they feel tremors under their feet.
The teams finally complete the special rescue training and graduate. The group gets a picture with Sergeant Yamagami and sees a look of relief on his face. Nakamura acknowledges that if he went soft on them, one of them could end up dying or getting injured.
Just then, Shun thinks of taking a selfie with Yuki, but restrains himself as they aren’t there for personal reasons. However, the other guys approach her for selfies.
The students who completed the course need to wait for months or years to get assigned to a rescue corps. In the meantime, they work on the cranes or as support staff. The students earn their certificates and badges.
Shun sends Yuki a picture of him joining the Special Rescue Corps. We see a flashback of when Shun asks Yuki if she likes firemen because she has a fireman on her wallpaper. He asks her if she will date him if he becomes a fireman.
Returning back to the current time Yuki reflects that she didn’t lose to him a single time. She, however, questions god for making her a woman.
Shun introduces himself as a member of the rescue corps to his colleagues. Yuki tells him to not let Daigo beat him. Daigo has been stationed there right after the completion of the course. Shun and Daigo are pleased to meet each other once again at the end of Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange Episode 3.
