Final Fantasy 16 Guide – Mission List
Welcome to our Final Fantasy 16 guide! Throughout the next few weeks we’ll be diving into every facet of the new Final Fantasy and helping you find the best ways to play the game and unlock everything there is to see. Unlike other Final Fantasy titles, 16 is far more action-orientated and as a result there’s a lot more emphasis on the combat.
With that in mind, when you first dive in, you may be wondering how long the story is and how much time you’ll need to invest into this one to see everything there is that Valisthea has to offer. Well, fret not as we’ve played this one extensively and have everything you need to know.
How long is Final Fantasy 16?
Final Fantasy 16 is very story heavy game and most of what you’ll be seeing here is related to the main narrative. The game has a total of 68 Main Quests and 76 Side Quests, not to mention Notorious Marks (Monster Hunts). It is also worth noting that there is a Point of No Return just before Mission 25 (The Dame) but the game does prompt you to this beforehand.
With all this in mind, expect to spend around 30-45 hours with the story, a further 15 hours or so on the side quests, and around 80 hours in total if you want to completely finish the game to 100%.
How many Main Quests are there?
As mentioned above, there are a total of 68 story-based quests in the game. Some of these chapters consist mostly of cutscenes and don’t have a whole lot of gameplay, but others open up the world rather significantly and allow you to trek across semi-open maps and explore various areas.
