Fans of the Fallout video game series rejoice!
A new adaptation of the games is now available to watch on Prime Video, with a cast of famous actors portraying the characters living within the ruined wastelands of post-apocalypse California.
Fallout is not a direct adaptation of the games but early reviews suggest it captures the humour and the post-nuclear mayhem that made the role-playing games in the franchise so popular.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”
