At the start of Chapter 3, you’ll continue your flight into the next area, where you’ll be introduced to the Gardener Turrets. These turrets will lock onto you with red lasers and shoot plasma, so if you’re aiming for all the achievements, you’ll need to avoid being hit by them. To disable the turrets, follow the yellow wire connected to them and interact with the triggers.
The Bestiary Journal
As you move forward, you’ll notice a shining light at the top of the hill to your left. Head over to pick up your Bestiary Journal. You can open it at any time by pressing E. The Bestiary will allow you to collect sketches of various animals on your adventure. Whenever you come across a new creature, a prompt will appear to press and hold E to add a sketch to your journal.
Now, continue over the first cube and move forward. You’ll encounter two more afterwards, but these are optional to pass. You can easily walk around them rather than levitate if need be.
Past the cubes, you’ll find another journal page. From here, head toward the bridge. As indicated by the energy spheres in the air, you’ll need to levitate and refill your energy while gliding across. Make your way to the lower area.
Now boost up to the tower ahead to grab Crystal Star #8. From the tower, glide down toward the bright white light in the distance. You’ll also spot Emerald #7 atop the pillars to the left of the light so be sure to grab that.
The white light mentioned is another wisp you’ll need for Wisp Puzzle 2. Run into it to collect it, then levitate up to the top of the broken pillars after to grab that Emerald.
Wisp Puzzle #2
Just like before, you’ll need to collect three wisps to activate the trigger. The first wisp is right outside the temple ruins where you found the emerald. The trigger button after you’ve collected all 3 wisps is located in the center of the temple with purple emeralds. It’s hard to miss to be honest, it’s basically right toward the purple emeralds.
To collect the last two wisps, you’ll need to explore each of the branching crystal paths from the trigger button. Both paths will introduce you to yellow cubes, which alternate in and out of existence as you jump. Time your jumps carefully to ensure a cube appears when you need it.
Left Path
Head down the left path to collect the wisp, and on your way up, you’ll find a journal page near the cubes. Jump across the cubes to collect your wisp at the top.
Forward Path
Backtrack after grabbing the second wisp and head down the straight path. As with the left one, you’ll find another journal page at the bottom. Once you’ve collected it, continue climbing to the top, jumping across the cubes to grab the final wisp.
With all three wisps collected, return to the center and press LMB/M1 on the trigger button to activate it. This will launch you into the air and send you into the next area.
Battlefield Arena
In this next section, there will be three Gardener Turrets that will shoot at you while airborne. As mentioned before, you need to watch where you move so you don’t get struck with the bullets. Follow each, time your movements and be sure to turn off each Turret. You can also use cover to avoid the shots too!
Just to the right of the first Gardener Turret, there’s a tower with Emerald #8 on top. Levitate up to grab it.
Continue following the path forward, where you’ll find two more Crystal Stars nearby — one in the ruins with large cylinder towers to the left of the path (Crystal Star #9), and another on top of a tower to the right (Crystal Star #10)
Disable another turret in the ponds below this second tower. Behind the turret, next to the robot statue, you’ll find Emerald #9.
Further along, you’ll encounter another turret in a larger pond. Disable it, then head to the nearby ruins with the domed roof. At the end of the temple’s walkway, you’ll find Emerald #10.
From the temple, jump down toward the glowing blue light below. This stone chest contains Crystal Star #11. To open it, approach and stomp, creating an energy bubble that will unlock the chest.
Continue following the path past the chest. You’ll come to an area with more purple crystals. Do note that these crystals disable Zephyr, so you’ll need to climb up instead of levitating. At the top, you’ll find another journal page, then hop across the cubes to reach the other side.
Lantern Puzzle #2
This Lantern puzzle doesn’t have any buttons but instead, you’ll just need to create an energy bubble next to each lantern. Once all the lanterns are lit with blue flames, the door forward will unlock.
Enter the temple, and you’ll be pulled into a black hole, transitioning into a space-like area. Follow the butterfly toward the tree-shaped figure with the orange light in the distance. This will lead us into the next area, marking the beginning of Chapter 4.
