The Last Night
The recap of Elite Season 8 Episode 5 begins with Nico’s dad, Dr. Alfonso looking after Omar who is in a coma. Everyone’s worried and Alfonso shares that he needs to go to another city with better resources to help him. His parents can’t afford it but Joel steps in and pays. He once again rescues Dalmar from a bad deal with Carmen by giving him money for the rent.
As for Isadora House, Ivan takes over and rebrands it as Cruz9. Things seem to be looking up as Joel approaches Ivan and they patch up. They even think about moving in together before talks turn to the keg party that will be taking place the next night to celebrate their graduation in advance.
However, the Alumni want to hold an orgy on the same night as the keg party and select Joel as the planner. Emilia mocks him while Hector is angry with him as Joel more or less has turned into a hooker. Hector threatens to tell Ivan, and Joel decides to do it himself. The conversation instantly spirals as Ivan is upset at learning how Joel is earning money.
Meanwhile, the group is thinking about visiting Omar and they give Chloe the cold shoulder for betraying Sonia. Eric points out that instead of their drama, Omar would want everyone’s support, and he approaches Chloe. They patch up and get back together which doesn’t make Nico happy as he still believes she is a bad influence.
As for Dalmar, he tells Joel about Carmen’s plan to delete the video and in return, she will make sure his family is well-off. Joel invites him to the orgy as the pay is good and a reluctant Dalmar agrees. However, Joel goes behind his back and blackmails Carmen to give them a quarter million in 2 days or he leaks the video. Chloe is worried and tells Eric who offers to help scare Joel.
On the reopening of the club, Isa helps Ivan and Joel get back together as the boys share that they still have feelings for each other. Joel explains to Ivan he needs to be independent and only wants Ivan’s love. Ivan understands but warns him regardless. Joel promises it is temporary till a side gig (blackmailing Carmen) comes through. On the dance floor, Sara tries to approach Nico but he is hurt by her accusations and avoids her.
At the hospital, Omar wakes up to the Alumni threatening to pull Nadia’s internship if he snitches. Back at the club, Luis gathers more dirt on Isa as he records the Alumni’s hook-ups at the club. He points out that she can be charged for running a brothel but when she refuses his help, he molests her.
Scared, Isa confronts Joel at the keg party. He apologises and promises to deal with Luis. Next, he goes up to Luis and threatens to expose him. Onto the orgy, while Dalmar, Joel and the rest of the Alumni are distracted, Chloe sneaks Eric in. She then corners Joel in an empty room and Eric pulls out the knife. Joel fights back and hearing the commotion, Dalmar comes to his rescue. Eric loses his knife and he and Chloe are forced to leave.
Back at the keg party, Sara confesses to Nico that she does not know how to deal with her feelings for someone who is not Raul. She apologises for accusing him and Nico forgives her. As they sit, she notices Carmen, Chloe and Eric looking flustered and she starts following them.
Meanwhile, Hector continues to hit on Joel. On learning that Hector knows the head of state security, Joel agrees to sleep with him if he helps Isa. Hector accepts the deal and they hook up.
Outside, Ivan gets a break-up text from Joel and gets drunk. Dalmar, who seems to be leaving, runs into him and helps him out. As they wait for Joel, Ivan blacks out and someone knocks out Dalmar.
Back inside, after Hector falls asleep, Joel gets up. He is about to send an “I miss you” message to Ivan when someone someone slits his throat. And that is the end of the Elite Season 8 Episode 5 recap.
The Episode Review
Elite Season 8 Episode 5 is a whirlwind as we finally get more information on the unfortunate keg party. Joel seems to have patched up with Ivan so it isn’t him or Dalmar who killed the guy. It isn’t Isa either as Joel promises to help her fix things.
The only ones who are left are Hector, Emilia and Luis. Luis seems to be the obvious choice as bro straight-up threatened him. But we wouldn’t mind a plot twist with Emilia killing him out of jealousy as there is something incesty going on between the Krawietzs.
Guess, the mystery is pretty intriguing but we have equal amounts of drama. However, the Chloe-Eric-Carmen conflict is getting pretty messy. Why did they think that Joel would feel threatened when the threatening act was being done by his friend? And he also knows that if Eric killed him, Nico would never forgive him. So, he was never in danger.
