Collar
Episode 7 of Dragon Ball Daima begins with Bulma updating Vegeta and the others on her progress with the ship. Bulma learns she worked on the vehicle for nothing and rants about it. Then, Hybis arrives. Hybis tells Vegeta and the others he’ll take them to the Demon Realm.
While Goku eats some Manpuku Dumplings, Vegeta and Piccolo chat on Hybis’s ship. King Kadan calls Hybis. He tells Hybis that Goku and his friends are searching for a Tamagami. Kadan wants Hybis to call him when he and the others reach the Third Demon World.
Meanwhile, Panzy tells Glorio to stop their plane because the Gendarmerie is nearby. Shin suggests they take an alternate route and Glorio complies. The Gendarmerie surrounds Goku and his friends. Shin argues they should follow their orders.
Panzy informs Goku and the others about her magic collar. Shin recalls one of the soldiers stating they could track down folks wearing magic collars. Glorio lands his plane and Shin tells Goku to hide. Shin and the others greet the Gendarmerie.
The soldiers want to investigate their vehicle. They ask Glorio and the others to follow another soldier somewhere. Panzy’s concerned but Goku pops up behind her. Goku hides in the bushes nearby. After the Gendarmerie finishes their search, they huddle up.
Shin tells Panzy that Goku can teleport. He argues Goku used him as a beacon to appear behind them. Then, one of the Gendarmerie soldiers confronts Panzy. He argues that Panzy is the small person who threw a smoke bomb at them in a prior episode.
The guard tries taking Panzy but she uses her taser on him. Left with no choice, our heroes fight the Gendarmerie. After our heroes defeat the Gendarmerie, Panzy uses a device to disable the remaining soldiers’ communicators. Before our heroes depart via a Gendarmerie plane, Panzy chats with Shin.
Panzy’s unsure if she should go with him and the others because of her magic collar. Shin inspects the magic collar. He says it’s made of Katchintite. Shin argues that Arinsu made and distributed it during Dabura’s rule.
Panzy says the Third Demon World’s government orders all Majin born in their demon world to wear the magic collars. Otherwise, they’ll die. Panzy says the collars grow along with the Majin that wear them. Shin removes Panzy’s magic collar. He says anyone can use the magic he used to remove it.
Panzy thanks Shin and asks him for his demon realm name. Shin says he was known as Nahare in the Demon Realm. Panzy and our heroes depart. While flying, Glorio tells everyone they need a different PIN for their Gendarmerie plane. Panzy has her friend Peral hack a new PIN for her friends.
Peral sends Panzy the new PIN. She tells Panzy that Hybis arrived in the Third Demon World with Vegeta and the others. Goku says Vegeta and the others catch up to them so there’s no need for them to stop. Panzy asks Peral to relay those details to everyone.
Kadan tells Hybis to follow Panzy and her friends. Then, Panzy and the others arrive at Tamagami Number Three’s location. Panzy and Glorio warn Goku about the Tamagami but Goku is excited to fight it. However, Goku wants to eat and use the restroom before doing so.
Our heroes head to a restaurant to eat. The restaurant owner greets our heroes. He shares details on how anyone can challenge the Tamagami. Goku uses the restroom and he confronts the Tamagami. The episode ends with Goku getting ready to fight the Tamagami.
The Episode Review
Vegeta, Bulma, and Piccolo have finally arrived at the Third Demon World. However, it may be a while until they meet up with Goku and his friends. Hopefully, our trio can witness Goku’s fight with Tamagami Number Three. We’re hopeful Goku and Tamagami Number Three’s fight will provide fans with a spectacle worth remembering.
Although Goku’s a child now, the challenges he’s faced so far have been easy for him. Whether it’s sparring with Glorio or fighting rude bandits, Dragon Ball Daima hasn’t given Goku a challenging foe yet. The only challenge Goku faced was adjusting to his younger body.
For now, it seems Goku has that on lockdown. We’ll have to wait and see if the murmurs surrounding these “powerful Tamagamis” hold weight. That aside, the episode gave Shin’s character more attention. It’s been a while since we’ve seen this Kaioshin in action.
Fans also got interesting lore surrounding the magic collars and Shin’s original Demon Realm name. But all in all, this was an enjoyable chapter. While Dragon Ball Daima is taking the slow and steady route with its storytelling, we’re optimistic future chapters will showcase something spectacular soon.
