Derailment Season 1
Derailment is a fun Chinese drama set in modern-day China. Based on Derailment by popular novelist Priest, this rom-com has everything from parallel worlds to romance and hidden identity. Jiang Xiao Yuan, a young rich, and powerful girl ends up in an alternate world where she is from a poor, working-class family and doesn’t have a penny to her name.
In comes the strange Qi Lian whom she just cannot seem to shake. He offers to help her figure out the truth but something feels off about the whole thing. The C-drama stars rising actors Liu Hao Cun as Xiao Yuan who is desperate to go back to the real world. Lin Yi is cast as the mysterious Qi Lian who has a secret of his own. The cast also includes Huang Sheng Chi, Fan Shi Ran and Wang Cha Cha.

Where Can I Watch Derailment?
Derailment is available to stream on Viki and Youku, and is set up as full episodes, so there’s no messing about with different parts on YouTube.
The first few episodes are free and after that, you will require a subscription to Viki. The show is also being streamed for free on Youku’s official YouTube channel.
Derailment Episode Release Dates
Derailment is a Chinese drama and as such, the episode release dates are a little different to those released in other Asian regions.
It premiered on Thursday 14th December with 4 episodes. Following that, 2 episodes are released every week day till 2nd January 2024. The finale, episodes 29 and 30 will be released on 2nd January 2024.
The episodes are released at 10am (GMT) / 6pm (SGT) / 2am (PT).
Expect each episode to be roughly 45 minutes long. Do note that the subtitle team is pretty quick with English subtitles available from release.

Derailment is a 30-episode Chinese drama, which is pretty common now due to the new limitations of C-dramas only having 40 episodes.
