In Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 8, Edward Chi briefs Noin and Perch on their scheme to acquire mo-parts from the members of the Delusional Monthly Magazine. They plan to host a dog competition to lure them in.

Taro, inspired by couples bonding while walking their dogs, tries to connect with Saburo but struggles. The members receive an invitation to the competition from White Pegasus, and Jiro, enticed by the trophy, convinces Goro and Taro to join.

Noin and Perch, disguised as mascots, attempt to steal the mo-parts but fail. Their second attempt to lure the trio into rigged seats also flops.

During the competition, Saburo competes alongside other dogs like Buldo, Prince, and Idol. Buldo cheats during the obstacle round, but Saburo excels at dancing, leading them through to the maze. Saburo wins the sumo round, and they receive an award.

However, Noin and Perch ambush the ceremony, trapping everyone. Saburo accidentally breaks the award, revealing a mo-part, transforming into a human bard. Noin and Perch transform into Motarians to fight Jiro and Taro but fail to synchronize their moves.

Saburo’s music triggers Jiro’s memories. Despite Goro’s attempts to question him about the mo-continent, Saburo reverts to a dog. Jiro reveals he was the prince of the mo-continent and recalls its sinking due to civil war. Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 8 ends with Goro mentioning a girl named Four Tune, who wrote about the mo-continent fourteen years ago.

The Episode Review

Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 8 is a milestone episode, revealing many secrets about the mo-parts and the mo-continent. After Saburo’s transformation, a new angle is revealed: the mo-parts are not causing transformation but are instruments for Motarians to return to their original form.

Jiro partially regains memories, mentioning a civil war that caused the continent to sink. Despite these revelations, the episode ends with Edward Chi speaking to a mysterious furry being, whom he seems to be petting. Additionally, little is known about Four Tune or her article, or how she’s aware of the mo-continent.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how the members of Delusional Monthly Magazine will further investigate the case and whether they can outsmart White Pegasus in resurrecting the mo-continent.
