Delusional Monthly Magazine – Season 1 Episode 6 Recap & Review

There’s Whole Mobs of Them?! This Is Where the Cats Gather

Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 6 begins with Johnny dating a girl, and bringing her to his room. As they begin to be intimate, cats appear near his apartment, causing him to sneeze and sweat. Seeing this she leaves him.

Desperate to resolve the problem, he seeks help from the members of the Delusional Monthly Magazine. Taro and the gang agree to help him but the White Pegasus company security doesn’t let them enter. They see a poster of Johnny outside and realize he’s a model for the White Pegasus.

While observing the poster, a cat’s tail with negative energy brushes against Taro, causing him to faint. Giro and Goro escort Taro back to the cafe. Upon waking up, Taro recalls seeing Johnny in an old advertisement from an issue five years ago.

A boy arrives at the café in search of his cat named Sotetsu and provides a photo. They then head to Johnny’s place to continue their investigation into the mysterious cats.

Johnny returns to his place with two girls. While waiting for the night, Goro organizes a dinner party, bringing delicious food and beer. Noin and Perch spy on them. They attempt to steal Goro’s bag containing the mo-part, but a swarm of cats surrounds and exposes them. The meowing causes Johnny to fall ill, leading his dates to leave, leaving him dismayed.

Noin and Perch transform into Motarians. Taro attempts to flee, but a group of cats, led by their leader cat, surrounds him. As Taro is on the verge of fainting, Goro tosses the mo-part onto Taro’s forehead, triggering his transformation

Taro engages in a battle with Noin and Perch, but they overpower him, tossing him aside. Unexpectedly, the feline leader intervenes, hurling Taro back at his adversaries and causing Noin and Perch to succumb beneath his weight. The cats battle against Noin and Perch. Despite their initial struggle, Noin and Perch eventually overpower both Taro and the cats, leaving Taro unconscious.

Goro accidentally drops a piece of a mo-part from his bag and it fuses with the leader cat’s piece, turning it into a new mo-part. As Jiro tries to grab the mo-part it accidentally causes him to transform into Motarian which looks like a bull.

Perch charges to attack Jiro, but Jiro’s robust Motarian form proves overpowering, defeating Perch with a single blow. Recognizing the situation escalating, Noin seizes Perch and swiftly escapes.

Jiro and Goro later discover that the cat leader, under the influence of the mo-part, is Sosetsu. They return the cat to its owner. Holding the two mo-part pieces together, a beacon-like light emanates, guiding them to a map in the cafe’s hidden basement. The episode concludes as Goro positions the mo-parts within the engraved shapes on the map at the end of Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 6.

The Episode Review

Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 6 covers the story of a man named Johnny suffering from an allergy to cats, which affects his love life. This episode gets pretty interesting as the gang at Delusional Monthly Magazine uncovers the truth behind the cat’s attraction to Johnny’s place.

While it sounds simple at first, the cats are actually attracted to a cat which is under the influence of a Mo-Part. It highlights how even animals that come in contact with the Mo-Part are affected by it. This episode also reveals the transformation of Giro into Motarian, which resembles a bull and acts like a demigod.

The reveal of the basement beneath the café containing the map of the Mo-continent leaves the viewers in more suspense as to how the café is related to the Mo-continent and how that map landed in the basement of the café. This episode has managed to keep the thrill like its predecessors.
