Hold on a Moment, Why Are You Working Here?!
Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 2 begins with Sato joining Monthly Moso Science. Taro’s body aches from the previous day’s action, but he has no memory of what happened. Taro expresses his disbelief in the Mocontinent, but Sato counters it. Taro attempts to call his Matchmaker, but Sato stops him as they have a lot of work to do.
Just then, Catherine arrives and informs them about a tip on a glowing well. Later that day, the boys arrive and narrate what they witnessed. Taro is skeptical if they’re telling the truth, but Sato believes them and sincerely makes a note of everything.
Taro inquires about the place where they witnessed it, and they hand him a map of the same. They then head over to the place. On the way, they discuss the magazine and how to increase their pay with the sales. Sato informs Taro that his transformation can also be featured in the magazine. Sato tries to figure out what triggers the transformation.
The scene cuts to Noin and Perch informing Edward about the transformation. He orders them to go after him. The group finally finds the place the boys told them about, and they end up tumbling in. They find the well covered with a heavy slab. Tanaka and Sato attempt to lift the slab, but Taro senses a spirit and tries to stop them, but ends up falling into the well with Saburou. He finds the spirit lingering in the well and panics.
Sato and Tanaka look for a way to save them and empty their backpacks. Noin and Perch spot the Moparts and attempt to snatch them. Just then, a fountain bursts out of the well, throwing Taro and Saburou into the air. Perch realizes the bucket must have the power of a Mopart. In a tussle to grab the Mopart, the Mopart in the well breaks, and Sato’s Mopart hits Taro’s forehead, causing him to transform once again. He takes the Mopart from them and teaches them a lesson.
Returning, Taro’s body hurts as usual while Sato inspects the new Mopart they found. The Mopart changes its form, and they realize it fits their previous piece. They realize that others are after it and plan to find it themselves. Noin and Perch apologize for their failure and promise to succeed next time at the end of Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 2.
The Episode Review
Delusional Monthly Magazine Episode 2 gives us a better perspective on the Moparts, but its functionality doesn’t add up yet. We know that the Moparts change form after a while and become a part of a jigsaw, interlocking with each other. But it’s quite unclear why and when they change form.
It also seems like Taro is the only one who sees them as scary, and he’s the only one who has temporarily transformed. The series has successfully intrigued viewers with the entire concept of the MOcontinent and MOparts, but it needs to live up to the expectations it has set.
