Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 6
Season 1 of Dark Winds became a surprise hit for AMC. The series was definitely the dark horse on a schedule that included Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead.
Dark Winds resonated deeply with viewers, especially the Native American community, who found the representation to be meaningful, complex, and respectful. Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon are back in the second season, once again playing the protagonist duo from the books of the same name.
This new season has carried on the momentum from the previous story as Joe Leaphorn squares up against Colton Wolf for one final showdown. Zach McClarnon has been in fine form in Season 2 and Jessica Matten has also stood out as Bernadette.

The first season was fabulous and i was hoping for more If the same in season 2. I feel let down by all the violence, however, This is not How Tony Hillerman wrote. All the lead Actors are excellent in their roles. I Hope Season three comes up with a script worthy of them.
PBS did a better job with their Leaphorn and Che series based on Hillerman’s novels. There was more of an emphasis on Navajo culture, mythology, territory, etc. and less violence. We don’t need so much focus on violence. There are plenty of violent detective shows on TV. There are very few series that concern the life and culture of native peoples in a positive way like the PBS series did. If there is going to be a third season, I hope it will go in that direction, rather than focusing on violence.
Love this series. Zahn McLarnan is a grwat actor as are the other actors in this series. I hope we have at least one or two more seasons. Plus other Joe Leaphorn stories. They’re so well written.
I was hoping to see more of Dark Winds. Well beyond a 2nd Series. Netflix needs shows like this if it is to survive..
It great love it.
Absolutely love the show. Good story lines, good acting, love the locations…some of my favorite vacation memories are in visiting these area. Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly.
I hope the series continues for several more seasons. Native Americans need to be on television more with good shows like this. This is what television can do best – share culture, inform viewers through well-told stories.
