Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 4 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 4

Season 1 of Dark Winds became a surprise hit for AMC. The series was definitely the dark horse on a schedule that included Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead.

Dark Winds resonated deeply with viewers, especially the Native American community, who found the representation to be meaningful, complex, and respectful. Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon are back in the second season, once again playing the protagonist duo from the books of the same name.

This new season promises to be even more exciting as we go deeper into the novel’s universe. It has been confirmed that the plot from the first season will not be continued in this season. We will most possibly see a new arc from one of the books. But even then, some residual subplots will be carried forward as callbacks.

Here is everything you need to know about Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 4, including its release date, time and where you can watch this.

Where Can I Watch Dark Winds?

Dark Winds will be available to stream globally on AMC+ and the new episodes will also air on AMC as well. As has been the norm, the episodes will drop two days before the cable network on the streaming service. For those who do not have access to AMC in their country, Philo TV, Direct TV Stream, and Sling TV also offer paid services through which you can stream Dark Winds on the same day.

Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 4 Release Date

Dark Winds Season 2 Episode 4 will be released on the streaming service, AMC+, before the cable network. The show will follow a twin release formula of Thursday and Sunday. So episode 2 will release on AMC+ on Thursday, August 17, while the series then release the episode on the cable network on Sunday, August 20, at 9 pm ET/PT on AMC.

The new episode is titled “The March”. Its plot summary reads: “Leaphorn risks his life in pursuit of a suspect; Manuelito stands up to the sheriff in a bid to rescue her boss; seeking answers on a case, Chee considers a dangerous proposition.”

How Many Episodes Will Dark Winds Have?

Dark Winds’ season 2 has been commissioned for a total of 6 episodes. This is the same number as the previous season. So, after episode 4, we will have another 2 episodes to go before season 2 concludes.

What happened in Episode 3?

Episode 3 of Dark Winds is action-packed with noticeable undertones of drama and meditative melancholy. The former sees the tick pick up at the hospital, where Colton hunts down Chee. Colton dons the uniform of a doctor but Chee is wise to it and sees him coming. He calls Bern for help, who then calls Joe. Colton nearly kills Chee but Bern arrives in time. The blond assassin was seen hiring another PI to track down Linda Maddox, who turns out to be his mother.

Joe and Bern try to give the chase but Colton has abandoned his vehicle and escaped. He lands up at a Dine woman’s farm, who does not know his identity and provides him shelter and food. Joe and Sheriff Sena begin their vapid search for Colton by putting up checkpoints all across the terrain and also doubling up on unformed officers on the streets.

Chee finds a reflection of himself in Tomas’ son, whom he drops off with his ex-wife. Emma is still reeling from Joe Jr’s loss and the discovery of his belt buckle has brought the trauma of losing him back to the surface. The episode ends with Joe and Bern tracking down Colton’s RV by following an innocuous complaint made by Gerald Nez several months back.

  1. AMC on demand with Dark Winds. Session 2, episodes 3 and 4 are identical. Episode 4 is not there. Episode 5 just appeared.

  2. Love the show Dark Winds! As each episode draws you in…it ends! 6 episodes per season IS NOT ENOUGH. Need more, more story, more plot, more story…..being short, sure, I re-watched season 1 the same day I began watching season 2 bc I don’t feel there’s enough story to remember for the next season, it’s so short! So, think about that, maybe?
