Curtain Call Episode 4
Curtain Call is the latest melodramatic K-drama, centering on a woman named Ja Geum-Soon, who was born in 1930 in what is now North Korea. Once the Korean War broke out, she escaped to South Korea, but torn away from her husband and young child as a result. She dreamed of being reunited with them and founded a hotel, hoping it would serve as a homing beacon to reel them in.
Instead, that hotel becomes the success Nakwon chain. After many successful years in business, Geum-Soon is approaching the end of her life. Her assistant Sang-Cheol hatches a plan to bring peace to the old lady before she dies, hiring an actor to pose as Moon-Sung. That man happens to be Jae-Heon, a struggling stage actor. However, he soon bites off more than he can chew with this gig, and he also crosses paths with Park Se-Yeon, Ja Geum-Soon’s granddaughter – and the woman currently running Nakwon.
