Criminal Record Season 1 sees an anonymous call lead to the re-investigation of an old case that resulted in the possible wrongful conviction of a man for the murder of his partner. DS June Lenker (Cush Jumbo) squares off against the SIO on the original case, DCI Daniel Hegarty (Peter Capaldi), and tries to fight against racial bias in the police and thwart his attempts to cover up mistakes in the original investigation.

Criminal Record will release the fifth episode of season 1 on Wednesday 31st January on Apple TV+.

Episode 5 is titled “Possession With Intent.” The episode is expected to be roughly 1 hour long. This is consistent with the timeframe for the rest of the show.

What happened in Season 1 Episode 4?

Lenker is making a breakthrough in the Errol Mathis case as she has finally located the caller who is a woman called Carla, who is reluctant to come forward. Hegarty, Gilfoyle and Cardwell are trying to cover their tracks and prevent Lenker from making progress in the investigation. Elsewhere, it is revealed Jason Reeve wasn’t the actual shooter of the young boy, Isaac, and he was actually caught in the crossfire of a gang war.
