Cinderellas of Midsummer Episode 4
Just in time for Summer, Viki is releasing Cinderellas of Midsummer, (Manatsu no Cinderella) a new Japanese seaside drama that’s rolling alongside its in-language run on Fuji TV, promising sun, romance and plenty of misunderstandings.
Cinderellas of Midsummer is a Japanese romance drama focused on a mix of young people who spend their summer at the beach where their fates slowly intertwine. Featuring a host of familiar young Japanese actors including Mamiya Shotaro (Fight Song), Kamio Fuju (Black Cinderella), Mori Nana (A Warmed Up Love), Riku Hagiwara (My Beautiful Man), Yoshikawa Ai (Influence) and GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE’s Alan Shirahama (HiGH & LOW franchise), it promises to be fun.

Cinderellas of Midsummer Episode 4 Release Date
Episode 4 of Cinderellas of Midsummer releases internationally on Tuesday 1st August, the day after it releases on Fuji TV (Monday 31st July). Each instalment will run between 45 mins and an hour and 10 minutes.
Viki’s release will include subtitles in English, Hebrew, Hungarian, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
How many episodes will Cinderellas of Midsummer Have?
We’re expecting to see 10 episodes, running through to September 11, 2023. This is actually a decent run for a Japanese drama, which sometimes only run for 6-8 episodes.

What Happened In The Previous Episode?
In episode 3, Natsumi has been selected for a paddleboard competition and she’s already counting the prize money, hoping to refurbish the cafe. Kento wishes her well but heads back to Tokyo for meetings while Takumi shows up to apologize. Risa’s ex-husband is pushing to have their son with him in Tokyo and Hayakawa continues to express his interest. And Ari spends time with Mamoru in Tokyo but gets caught out when her hotel reservation is messed up.

What’s coming up on Episode 4?
Previews for Episode 4 reveal that a new harmony after the storm is arising between Natsumi and Takumi. Ari slaps Osamu for shooting his mouth off – again – and he and Mamoru come to fisticuffs. Hayakawa suggests he’d like to be Risa’s partner someday. And Kento gives Natsumi a gift as Takumi warns him not to mess with her.
