Chainsaw Man: Chapter 148 Release Date, Time & Where To Read

Chainsaw Man Chapter 148

Chainsaw Man Part 2, the Academy Saga, follows a new protagonist, Asa Mitaka. To survive, she makes a deal with Yoru the War Devil, in which she needs to kill Chainsaw Man.

The current arc has been dealing with the Chainsaw Man Church, a group of mostly teenagers who are fans of Chainsaw Man and hunt devils in his name. Asa is not only a member, but also the poster girl for them. She is stronger than ever, sometimes attracting more attention than even Chainsaw Man himself.

While she fights many devils and saves civilians, Denji is doing his best to live a normal life. The public safety devil hunters want him to stay quiet, but the Church wants him to act. So he finds himself again in a situation where people are trying to control his life.

Fans surely want to know what will happen to Denji and Asa. If you’re curious to know when the next chapter will be released, you’re in the right place.

What Happened In Chapter 147?

Barem says that because of his plan, he needs Denji to go wild again, which our main character doesn’t like hearing. But then Barem screams to all the devils near that Nayuta is a witch who will plunge the world into darkness. When he commands them to kill her, many of the devils mindlessly jump at her. As an addendum, it’s funny to see that happen as it’s a reference to “Nayuta of the Prophecy,” another manga by Fujimoto.

Suddenly, Quanxi arrives and slashes all enemies there. In the most manga-like way possible, she carries Denji and his friends and jumps from the rooftop. When she breaks her legs after the landing, she heals herself immediately and starts killing devils again. Even Barem himself says she is like a manga character come to life (a joke Fujimoto has done numerous times in Chainsaw Man).

The manga takes a break from the action to show us all the violence and destruction happening. Even the bodies of the demons have to be burned, as they can be revived with one pull of the chainsaw starter. Out of nowhere, a man points at Denji and says he’s a “Chainsaw wannabe.” Denji doesn’t understand anything, and the chapter ends. If It isn’t one of Barem’s ploys, someone finally believes Denji is Chainsaw Man, but at the worst time possible.
