Not only did she write Pinocchio, she also wrote While You Were Sleeping among others. Having said that, she also wrote Start-Up too, which was rather subjectively received.
MAIN CAST
Park Eun-Bin as Seo Mok-ha
Castaway Diva comes fresh off the success of Park Eun-bin’s previous dramas, who has turned everything she’s touched to gold lately. In this K-drama she plays Seo Mok-ha, a bright and positive girl whose dream was always to become a singer.
Pursuing her lifelong goal, she decides to attend an audition that was being held in Seoul. On her way, she ends up stranded on a deserted island.
Fast forward 15 years and Mok-ha is rescued. However, she finds herself in an unfamiliar world, struggling to adjust while keeping her dream of being an idol singer alive.
Park Eun-bin has been in some absolute bangers over the past 4 years, with her award-winning performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo standing out. She also starred in King’s Affection, Hot Stove League (which also won awards) and Do You Like Brahms.

Hyo-jin plays the washed up singer Ran-joo, who was a big star 15 years back but now, her career hangs in the balance. Ready to throw in the towel and given up, the return of Mok-ha invigorates her into giving it another go and throwing her hat back in the proverbial ring.
Hyo-jin has played some pretty varied roles recently, most notably Kyung-eun in 2021’s Lost and three different roles in Private Lives.
Chae Jong-Hyeop as Kang Bo-geol
Bo-geol is Woo-hak’s brother and he’s pretty prickly the first time he meets Mok-ha in the present timeline. Does he have some sort of history with her? To give much more away would be entering spoiler territory!
Bo-geol recently won best new Actor for Love All Play at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards. He’s also starred in See You in My 19th Life, Sh**ting Stars and Hot Stove League too.
Cha Hak-Yeon as Kang Woo-hak
