The upcoming Netflix Original, Bloodhounds, has had a controversial past after the female lead of the show was involved in a DUI accident. Moving past the controversy, this K-drama is finally going to see the light of day.

The show is a mini-series and stars Woo Do-hwan as the male lead. Not only that but Lee Sung-yi from ‘Hometown Cha Cha Cha’ and ‘Youth of May’ will also be seen in the lead role.

What is Bloodhounds about?

Based on a Naver webtoon of the same title, the series is directed and written by director Kim Joo-hwan of the movie ‘Midnight Runners’. The show Bloodhounds follows the story of two young people who step into the world of loan sharks in pursuit of money and get caught up in a web of much darker forces. Woo Do-hwan plays Geon-woo, a man who jumps into the world of loan sharks to pay off his debt.

Lee Sang-yi plays Woo-jin, who first meets Geon-woo as his opponent in boxing but ends up working with him. Meanwhile, actor Park Sung-woong plays the vicious loan shark Myeong-gil, who is driven solely by money in everything that he does.

Heo Joon-ho plays Mr Choi, who was once considered a legend among loan sharks, but now helps out the sick by lending money with no interest, bringing gravitas with their on-screen presence.

Where Can I Watch Bloodhounds?

Since Bloodhounds is a Netflix original, the K-drama will be released on the streaming platform globally and will be an exclusive series, so this is the only play you’re going to be able to watch this one.

All episodes of Bloodhounds will release at once on Netflix on Friday 9th June at 12am (PT) / 3am (ET)/8am (GMT). Expect the episodes to have a runtime of around 45 minutes.
