Behind Every Star is the Korean remake of Call My Agent, and it’s quite the intriguing watch. The story centers on Method Entertainment, which is a major management company that tailors for various actors and actresses. Playing out as part slice-of-life and workplace comedy, the series skips around various different characters, depicting their highs and lows along the way.
General Director Tae-Oh is smart and gentle but doesn’t mind using all sorts of tricks to achieve what he wants. Meanwhile, Je-In is the resident manager and has been there for 14 years, knowing all the ins and outs. She’s super competitive and also a workaholic. When her assistant leaves and buckles under the pressure, rookie Hyun-Joo is hired to fill the slot. The only trouble is, she has a history with the Director, which is slowly unveiled over time.
Alongside these guys are several other plays, including the lovable Kim Jung-Don, who happens to be a kind-hearted worker.
