The Nightmare (Boss Fight) |

Leave the house and head all the way across town to the Meeting-House. On the way, make note of a wooden wall on the side with “Doomsday has come” scrawled on the side. Ominous!
Go up the linear path, destroying the spectres as they block your path. Take a right at the fork in the road and destroy the Alpha Wanderer. Where it spawned, you’ll find 2x Waxy Cap Agaric and a basket holding 1x Lilac Hyacinth and 3x Hoof Fungus.
At the end of the pathway you’ll come to the Meeting-House. Approach the door and press A (X) to enter. After a brief cutscene, you’ll be faced with a boss fight.

The Nightmare is a tough foe and she comes armed with some nasty attacks. She teleports around the arena and tends to hit with 3 melee strikes in a row, with the final splash seeing her jump in the air and drop down. Use Red’s dodge (hitting O (B) twice) to get out the way of this. Focus on light melee strikes rather than heavy here, as Nightmare will also conjure a couple of duplicates into the arena and tends to strike quickly. Be sure to keep as much of the arena in your field of view as possible while you hit these doppelgangers (like the picture below).
Get rid of the doubles and watch out for Nightmare’s ranged projectiles too. Don’t be afraid to deplete all 3 of your HP vials here and use your Banishment too when it charges up to do a good amount of damage. It’s also worth noting that using this also negates any attacks about to hit you, so you can also double this up as a defensive manoeuvre if you’re close enough. Once you’ve got rid of Nightmare’s first chunk of HP, she’ll conjure up a special move and the fight will end. |
When you awaken, speak to Seeker and select “What am I to do now?” Cycle through the rest of the dialogue and it’ll end this relatively short quest.
