Episode 1
Episode 1 of Bandidos Season 2 begins with Miguel finding a clue to the location of the Tear of Fire diamond which is part of Cortes’ treasure. At that moment, someone threatens Lili with her ex, Leo. She drugs Miguel and after he faints, she leaves and promises to return.
She sneaks into a heavily guarded mansion in the Pyrenees. Turns out, it belongs to her family and her real name is Carlota. She breaks out Leo but her step-sister, Regina catches her. Regina and Leo’s torturer, Mano lock Lili in a storage room and a flashback shows that something similar happened when they were kids. Lili finds a doll she had hidden as a child. It was Regina’s which her dad gave Lili after he adopted her earning the older girl’s ire.
Regina also looks into the bandits. Citlali indulges in petty theft. After her latest arrest, she is unable to bail herself out as her account is empty. Ines needs to bribe a judge to get custody of her son, Alex. Her account is empty too and Octavio thinks Lucas has hacked her. But Lucas’ account is empty as well. As for Octavio, he keeps his money in a bunker. When he goes to get it, someone knocks him out and steals it.
Back to Regina, she believes Lili has stolen all of their dad’s money. When Lili insists on her innocence, Regina makes an offer – the Tear of Fire for her life. If she refuses, Mano will kill her and her friends. While Regina lets her think it over, she only feeds Lili apples. Our DIY girlie uses the seeds to make a cyanide injection. When Regina finally checks in on her, Lili holds her hostage and frees Leo. Snipers corner them but they make it out with one gunshot wound.
Sometime later, we see that Miguel has bought a hotel with all his money. He sleeps with someone’s wife to get an artefact. A chase ensues but he escapes just in time. While he and his assistant, Xime search for the treasure, he continues to see his uncle, Wilson who tells him he can find it on his own.
Regina continues to stalk Lili and gives her one final offer – her debt to the family will be paid with the Tear of Fire. Desperate, Lili and Leo unite the bandits in Mexico. Octavio is upset that he is the only one who didn’t know she was alive. Back to their problem, she claims Regina stole their money and they can get it back and more with the help of Miguel. They all show up at his hotel.
Miguel is angry with Lili and jealous of Leo. She cannot tell him what happened but he agrees to help. But there is one more lie – the bandits believe they are looking for Moctezuma’s gold that Cortes stole as she needs to hand over the Tear of Fire diamond to Regina.
Planning begins and Miguel tells the bandits about the treasure. The hotel is built over Geronimo’s tomb, one of Cortes’ men. They find the exact location thanks to the artefact and find one gold bar. The second man, Gonzalo’s grave was never found but Miguel has a plan.
At the end of Bandidos Season 2 Episode 1, Leo updates Regina who kisses him. She jokes Lili has good taste in men but he doesn’t look happy.
The Episode Review
Bandidos Season 2 Episode 1 gets right into the plot without much exposition or introduction. But it is easy to follow even for those who may not remember the events of Season 1. Along with the constant action, quick dialogues are dropped to remind us of important details like Lili’s fake death, Octavio’s relationship with her and Wilson’s death.
We get new players as well and with the first episode, it is clear that they are partners. It did seem strange that Regina initially let Lili escape. But guess she needed her to leave so she could unite the bandits and find the diamond for her. And it looks like Leo is her mole. The question that stands now is – is he helping Regina willingly or does she have something on him? He didn’t look quite happy when she kissed and mocked Lili at the end…
