Set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, your choices shape a tale of fellowship and betrayal, survival and sacrifice, and the lure of absolute power.

Choose from one of the game’s classes – Wizard, Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Bard, Monk, Paladin, Warlock, Druid, Sorcerer, or Barbarian (or play as an origin character) – and adventure, loot, and battle your way through the Forgotten Realms and beyond.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access for a while but we are fast approaching the release date for the full version of the game.

What platforms is Baldur’s Gate 3 releasing on?

Baldur’s Gate 3 is releasing on PC, Mac, and PS5.

PC players will be able to pick up the full game on August 3rd. The game will likely arrive on Mac on this date too but PS5 gamers will have to wait a little longer to play it. Gamers on this platform will be able to play the game from September 6th.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 single-player or multiplayer?

Baldur’s Gate 3 can be played solo or with others.

Both local and online multiplayer will be available. There are two ways to play multiplayer:

• Start a new campaign where every player gets their own character
• Add players to an existing single-player campaign and give them control of companion characters.

After forming your party of adventurers in multiplayer, you don’t have to stick together. However, more fun will be had if you do team up and take on the game’s challenges, though expect arguments about who gets what loot!  When it comes to boss fights, you will obviously be at an advantage if your friends are by your side, so rally your team together if you struggle to manage these alone.

Does Baldur’s Gate 3 have achievements?

Yes! The game will have 53 achievements but we don’t know what these will be at this stage. However, you should be able to find a full list of achievements here closer to or after the game’s release date.

Will Baldur’s Gate 3 have any DLC?

Developer Larian Studios have announced a Collector’s Edition of the game which will include new skins, a collection of Divinity-inspired items, the Adventurer’s Pouch, and digital downloadable OST, Artbook and Character Sheets. The Deluxe Edition of the game will share some of the DLC from the Collector’s Edition.

How long is Baldur’s Gate 3?

You’re going to need to set aside a lot of time for this one as according to Larian Studios’ boss, Swen Vincke, Baldur’s Gate 3 will take between 74-100 hours to beat during a regular playthrough. For those who want to see absolutely everything the game has to offer, the game will take around 200 hours to complete.
