Are you looking for an old-school 2D adventure? If so, you might want to consider Afterimage, a Metroidvania-type game that could be one of the prettiest titles to be released this year.

In the game, players take on the role of an amnesiac girl named Renee who has to confront and defeat the goliaths that have reclaimed the fantasy world that she lives in. During your journey through the game’s world, which has been created with stunning hand-drawn visuals, you will explore giant towers, complicated labyrinths, steep canyons, and even the deep seas as you discover more about the vast world that the game’s protagonist is a part of.

What platform is Afterimage releasing on?

Afterimage, which is being published by Modus Games and developed by Aurogon Shanghai, will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S and X, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on April 25th 2023.

How long is Afterimage?

Afterimage will take you around 30 hours to beat and possibly more if you strive to see everything that this game has to offer.

Is Afterimage single-player or multiplayer?

Afterimage is single-player only so you’re going to have to take on the game’s treacherous environments and fearsome bosses alone.

Is there any DLC?

Afterimage may have downloadable content available after launch but we have no confirmation of extra content at this stage ahead of release.

Does the game have achievements?
