1883 is the spiritual prequel to the highly popular Yellowstone series, following the trials and tribulations of the Dutton family years before they become the powerhouses in the original series. Specifically, we follow a caravan led by Shea and Thomas, joined by James Dutton and his family. Across the episodes, the trio find themselves tested in every area, from love, grief, loss and revenge.

1883 is available to stream on Paramount+. This is an exclusive original series, with the service available to those in the US for $4.99 per month with “limited” adverts. Ad-free you’re looking at that increasing to $9.99.

1883 Episode 9 will release on Sunday 20th February at 3am (ET/PT). If you missed episode 7, or are slightly behind with the events of this show, we’d strongly recommend catching up with this one!
1883 drops with subtitles available from release too. Episode 9 is expected to be roughly 55 minutes long, which is consistent with the time-frame for the rest of the series.

What Happened In Episode 8?
Episode 8 slowed everything down to a crawl, with most of the drama stemming from Elsa deciding to turn away from the caravan and live with the Indians. However, she agrees to carry on and see her family over the line to Oregon.
