The only problem is that he has told Palmer that he’s in the process of divorcing his wife (who doesn’t actually exist). Then what? Danny hires his secretary Katherine as his makeshift wife and soon-to-be-ex. If you’re someone who speaks a thousand lies on a daily basis, watch it, and you’ll reconsider.


The Proposal (2009)

Margaret Tate is a micromanaging boss whose life revolves around making her secretary Andrew Paxton’s life a living hell. When Margaret knows that she is going to be deported in one month, she somehow convinces  Andrew to get into a fake marriage. Margaret will be allowed to stay in the country while Andrew will be promoted to a new role with better pay and promises.

The only issue is that Andrew’s family doesn’t know that their marriage isn’t real but a sham! This movie has everything from family drama, love, romance, and, most importantly, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock.


To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)

Lara Jean pens secret love letters to her crush but never posts them and always keeps them hidden from her family and friends. Lara’s life turns upside down when these letters end up being mysteriously mailed out. The recipient of the letters includes Josh, who’s also her sister’s ex-boyfriend, and, Peter Kavinsky.

To avoid Josh, Lara Jean agrees to fake date Peter, who agrees because he also wants to make his ex jealous. Things become interesting when they fall in love while faking to be in it. It is cute, it is quirky, and a must-watch.


Holidate (2020)

If you love Emma Robert’s film more than any other actress, what’s stopping you from watching Holidate on Netflix? In this film,  Sloane and Jackson both hate holidays more than anything. So to get behind it, the duo strikes a deal to become each other’s holiday, which they claim is a no-strings-attached plus-one for festive occasions.

As the name has given it away, The Decoy Bride is literally about a Decoy Bride. In this film, a famous actress wants to marry an equally famous writer on a lavish island and doesn’t want any media attention or paparazzi bothering her on her special day.

Thus, the actress thinks of a genius plan to hire a local girl as a decoy bride, leading to all sorts of troubles and whirlwinds of drama. If you like romcoms that leave you warm and fuzzy, this is it.


Can’t Buy Me Love (1987)

In this film, Ronald Miller is a geek or nerd who wants to be cool, so he pays cheerleader Cindy Mancini to be his girlfriend. Cindy says yes, and just like that, Ronald becomes the most popular guy in university. But as Ronald gains popularity, he becomes self-absorbed and ends up losing his true friends and Cindy’s love as well.
