10 Most Iconic Superhero Vehicles | TheReviewGeek Recommends

Superhero rides are more than simply fancy vehicles; they represent the heroes that pilot them. These vehicles are just as famous as the capes and cowls, whether it’s a ship that can travel through time or a car that can jump skyscrapers. They are so awesome that everyone wants them.

If you’re having a hard time naming a few, here is a detailed rundown of the top ten superhero vehicles in the comics.

Batmobile

Let’s begin this list with the most obvious and coolest choice: the Batmobile. To put things in perspective, Batmobile is a supercharged Swiss Army knife on wheels. It’s not just a car but actually a high-tech beast with armor, speed, and gadgets to make any gearhead jealous.

From turbo boosters to remote control, this baby’s got it all. It’s also Batman’s trusty sidekick, which helps him zip around Gotham, ready for action at a moment’s notice. Whether he’s chasing down bad guys or making a quick escape, the Batmobile is the ultimate crime-fighting machine, giving Batman the edge he needs to keep the city safe.

Invisible Jet

It won’t be an overstatement to call Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet the ninja of the skies. It’s decked out with high-tech technology that makes it vanish into thin air, literally. It is made from materials that neither bow down to light nor radar, making this baby practically undetectable.

In addition, the jet is armed to the teeth and can go faster than the speed of sound, which means Wonder Woman can get in and out of danger zones without anyone knowing she is there.

Spider-Mobile

Like the Cape Crusader, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, too, has his own wheels, and it’s not a Toyota Prius. The Spider-Mobile is a custom-made vehicle to fit Spidey’s style.

The vehicle has everything you need in excess of airbags that shoot out web fluid for safety, a computer system you can talk to so you can keep your hands on the wheel, and tires that grip so well it can drive up walls or even upside-down. But what really makes this baby great is that it can turn its wheels into spider legs because you can’t always save the city by swinging from webs.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is a floating fortress that combines the best of an aircraft carrier and a flying machine. Made by the geniuses at Stark Industries, this beast has giant engines that let it soar through the sky while also packing a serious punch with its weapons, including missiles.

The Helicarrier also happens to be the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s headquarters, and thanks to its giant engines, Nick Fury and his team are able to reach anywhere at a moment’s notice. Just the sight of this baby in the sky is enough to make any bad guy think twice.

Skuttlebutt

Everyone knows that Skuttlebutt is Beta Ray Bill’s trusty sidekick, but instead of a person, it’s a super smart battleship with a mind of its own. Made by the same geniuses who created Beta Ray Bill, this ship is like family to him and is designed to help him protect their people, the Korbinites.

Scuttlebutt isn’t just a regular ship; it can suck up energy from stars to keep itself going and can even hold its own in a fight against heavyweights like Thor. With its conscience and ability to do its own thing, Skuttlebutt is more than just a mode of commute for Beta Ray Bill.

The Hellcycle

The Hellcycle is Ghost Rider’s loyal steed, a motorcycle that is always on fire… quite literally! This bad boy doesn’t just look cool, some might say it also has supernatural powers. It can go super-fast, defy gravity by riding up walls and buildings, and even take to the skies.

And since the wheels are always on fire, it leaves a blazing trail wherever it goes. Moving on, it is basically indestructible and can fix itself if it gets torn, destroyed, blown, shattered, and whatnot! The best part is that it actually listens to Ghost Rider’s every command, whether he’s riding it or not.

The Owlship

The Owlship, aka Archie, happens to be Nite Owl’s ride from the “Watchmen” series, and like Batmobile, it doesn’t compromise with cool and needy features. It was created by Dan Dreiberg, who also happens to be the second Nite Owl.  The Owlship can hover in the air and even dive underwater. Not just that it is also well-equipped with high-tech weapons and even a coffee machine, in case the heroes plan for a night stakeouts. Did we mention it is also completely invisible to radar and has gadgets like water cannons and sonic screechers for crowd control?

The Strato-Cycle

The Strato-Cycle from the Blackhawk comics is built for just one thing, and that is speed! This bad boy can easily give all the mentioned vehicles on our list a run for their money, all thanks to its enhanced speed and agility. The Strato-Cycle is not just super-fast but can also handle all kinds of terrain like a champ, be it a rocky mountain, boiling volcano, or smooth asphalt. Whether he is chasing down bad guys or making a quick getaway, Blackhawk’s Strato-Cycle gives him the edge he needs to stay one step ahead of the game.

The Battle Shell

The Battle Shell from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is much more than an armored van that the brothers use to race around town and blast hip-hop music.  It has multiple access doors, a launcher that, for some reason, Michelangelo always wants to fire, and a side door that turns into a bar for some epic entries and exits. All in all, this van is built for both combat and stealth. There’s also plenty of room to store both the Turtles and all their gear, so they’re always ready for whatever comes their way.

Arrowcar

Batman isn’t the only wealthy superhero with a stylish car; Green Arrow also owns an impressive set of wheels. It is similar to the Batmobile but with a whole lot more arrows. Created back in the 1940s by Mort Weisinger and George Papp, this arrow-shaped car is Green Arrow’s go-to for getting around in Star City. Even though the Arrow-Car is packed with gadgets and gizmos, the best thing about it is its catapult seats, which help Green Arrow and his sidekick make a quick getaway or surprise attack.
