Therefore, this article will highlight the best manga schools we’d love to attend. From the chaotic realm of Nichijou: My Ordinary Life to the battle-hardened yet pure lifestyle set in Naruto’s world, fans will find most of our selections appealing.
As always, feel free to leave your comments about our choices below.
Ouran Academy (Ouran High School Host Club)
A school of luxury, excitement, and hilarious occurrences is what you’d find at Ouran Academy. Although it could be difficult for folks to attend this school because of its elite status, many people will find its atmosphere and environment satisfying.
Firstly, this school is known for having rich and prolific students. Interacting and befriending people like them can help anyone gain future luxurious opportunities. At the same time, some students may not tolerate certain students’ behavior. Therefore, it’d be best for folks to choose who is worth befriending and ignoring entirely.
The school offers multiple subjects that’d interest folks to attend it. From Japanese Literature to common subjects like English, Math, and Science, this school has several offerings that will persuade many people to attend.
On top of having the Ouran Host Club, the anime and manga’s central club, which embarks on fanciful endeavors, many wouldn’t mind attending a school as prestigious as this one.
Tokisadame High School (Nichijou: My Ordinary Life)
Nichijou: My Ordinary Life offers a tale that’s far from ordinary. All types of wacky occurrences ensue in this world from girls firing atomic beams from their mouths to them observing adults fighting wildlife. For its insanity and hilarity alone, many folks wouldn’t mind attending Tokisadame High School, the institution the story’s female protagonist Yuuko attends.
Much like schools you’d find in typical slice-of-life anime, this one harbors a similar build. It has many classrooms, offices, and areas where our cast can relax, chat, and participate in common or uncommon phenomena. For the most part, the school teaches many subjects. Students are shown to complete tasks from writing papers to reading texts.
Occasionally, weird things occur at this school. Principal Shinonome’s fight with a deer at the school is a great example of the ridiculous situations that occasionally happen here. Nonetheless, many folks may choose this school as their go-to educational facility for its chaotic nature alone.
Ninja Academy (Naruto)
Mahora Academy (Negima)
We’ve talked about ordinary, prestigious, and ninja schools (so far). This time, we’d like to tell manga fans why Negima’s Mahora Academy would be a great school to enroll in.
First off, this school is set in a fantastical world where magic is at the forefront. People who grew up with tales like Harry Potter will adore this school for its similar vibes. Moreover, one of the school’s staff, Negi, who happens to be the show’s lead, is a proficient professor at this institution. He teaches magic in a way that’s refreshing and exciting. The magic taught is well-varied. Some spells require certain criteria to be met, giving students a sufficient challenge and reason to master said magic.
Moreover, this academy houses multiple locations from gloriously designed plazas with shopping districts to religious shrines for people to view. For those looking for a school with luxurious architecture, a range of subjects to learn, and a magical touch, Mahora Academy sounds like a neat place to attend.
Seirin High (Kuroko’s Basketball)
Kuroko’s Basketball is one of the best basketball manga of all time. Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s magical and slightly grounded take on the sport left fans excited and itching for more as the chapters were released back in the day. While the basketball games were entertaining, many found Kuroko and Kagami’s school, Seirin High, to be fine.
Not much emphasis was placed on the school itself in the manga. However, the school has certain qualities that would make it a fine place to attend.
Firstly, the school teaches many subjects like literature. It has many extracurricular activities from swimming to basketball. While many people aren’t sports fanatics, students may get a chance to play alongside the series’s leads. Also, you may acquire the Zone abilities they possess. This would put folks on a higher pedestal than most characters who play alongside our protagonists.
On top of being set in a large place with many beautiful locations to observe, attending a place like Seirin High doesn’t sound like a bad option.
Holy Forest Academy (Great Teacher Onizuka)
Arguably one of the best comedy manga today, Great Teacher Onizuka features a fun place for students to learn and develop close relationships. One of the academy’s faculty, Eikichi, who happens to be the series’s lead, tackles education comically and uniquely.
Upon his arrival, Eikichi finds ways to make learning appealing to Holy Forest Academy’s students. They’re arguably delinquents in mind and form. Despite suffering from cases like sexual assault and bullying, Eikichi helps his class cope and conquer their problems.
From getting involved in their personal affairs to participating in strange and unspeakable activities, Eikichi isn’t your typical instructor. Despite Eikichi’s weird tactics, his students eventually develop a mutual respect for Eikichi. Also, Eikichi helped his students obtain a better outlook on life through his teaching methods.
Although this institution isn’t too different from others, the experiences alone make it a noteworthy one.
Tootsuki Culinary Academy (Food Wars!)
Food Wars!, despite being a slightly erotic work, is regarded by many as one of the best cooking manga today. Tootsuki Culinary Academy, the place where our lead Yukihira Soma attends, is arguably great too. This academy offers a great cooking program that inspires young chefs to surpass their limits and invent wonderful recipes.
The school features several cooking competitions, like its infamous Shokugeki, that allow students to test their cooking skills against fellow chefs. Although the results of said competition won’t appeal to every attendee, those who claim victory, will appreciate this academy for allowing them to experiment and grow.
Moreover, people will get a chance to cook alongside commendable chefs in the series like Soma and his rival Nakiri Erina. Therefore, there’s a chance Tootsuki Culinary Academy may help someone become the next Gordon Ramsey if they’re lucky.
U.A. Academy (My Hero Academia)
Superheroes have become more popular as the years fly by. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s success played a huge role in making superhuman beings more popular. My Hero Academia, arguably, did the same for manga and anime fans. It wasn’t the first Japanese comic to touch upon heroism, but it arguably paved the way for future series like One Punch Man and Shy.
That said, U.A. Academy would be a great place to attend. Everyone in this world, besides our lead Izuku Midoriya (at first), was born with a type of superpower. As with riding a bike, mastering one’s power can be difficult. Thankfully, U.A. Academy helps students understand their powers and teaches them how to utilize them for heroic purposes.
While some folks will opt for the villainous path, others will adore receiving lessons on heroism from people like Eraser Head and All Might. From rigorous training regiments to fun-filled school-like outings, U.A. Academy would be a great school to attend.
Shuchi’in Academy (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War)
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (Kaguya-sama) is a beloved rom-com penned by Aka Akasaka, who is collaborating with an artist named Mengo Yokoyari on the hit-drama manga Oshi No Ko (as of this writing). Kaguya-sama contained wonderful tension, enjoyable comedy, and a lovable cast. Shuchi’in Academy is the school Kaguya, Miyuki, and the others attend.
Much like our first entry, this is a prestigious institution. Unfortunately, students from highly acclaimed and wealthy families are the only ones who can attend. Moreover, this school teaches folks from pre-schoolers to university grads, making it a stand-out institution to many folks. Students who enroll in this school take tests, participate in clubs, and get into mischief. This ensures folks won’t grow bored of exploring this academy’s classes and halls.
Additionally, you’ll get to meet individuals like Kaguya, Chika, Miyuki, and others. Each attendee has a wonderful personality and goal. Therefore, the possibilities are endless with this one.
Easton Magic Academy (Mashle: Magic and Muscles)
Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a fine comedy manga with a fun magical institution. Easton Magic Academy is a well-built institution with many halls to walk through, areas to chat at, and classes to attend. Moreover, this academy’s staff teaches students new spells and helps them utilize magical tools.
The academy’s staff also helps students remember specific lessons and mysteries of the world through written and physical exams. The physical exams are a lot more entertaining and inventive to tackle than the written ones. Lastly, the Divine Visionary title, something our protagonist Mash strives for, serves as a nice prize that’ll persuade everyone to try harder.
On top of getting to meet funny people like Mash, Dot, and others, Easton Magic Academy sounds like a nice alternative if matters don’t go well for people at Negima’s Mahora Academy.
