Delicious In Dungeon
Similarities – Action, Fantasy, Setting
The first anime many Dungeon People fans will compare it to is Delicious In Dungeon. Who could blame fans for drawing these comparisons? Both stories feature adventurers exploring dungeons. Each anime’s dungeon setting carries multiple living organisms and mysteries.
Delicious In Dungeon and Dungeon People offer rich lore of their respective locations. This will encourage audiences to watch each show’s slew of slow-paced chapters for the lore alone. Delicious In Dungeon’s world and characters are more exciting compared to Dungeon People (so far).
Laios, Marcille, and others feel more charismatic and rounded compared to Clay, Belle, and others (so far). While this may change once Dungeon People’s material is fully adapted, it’s an argument worth making. Nevertheless, if you’re after a funny dungeon anime that can be equally dark when it chooses to, check out Delicious In Dungeon.

Solo Leveling
Similarities – Action, Fantasy, Themes
If you’re itching for a dungeon expedition series with more visual appeal, then Solo Leveling is worth watching. This series is set in a world where hunters explore vast dungeons for multiple purposes. One of these hunters happens to be our male lead Sung Jinwoo.
Unfortunately, Sung is regarded as the weakest hunter in his universe. However, Sung’s miserable life takes a dramatic turn when a Player Log appears before him during one of his missions. Sung accepts the Player Log’s request and a comeback of epic proportions begins.
Both series offer captivating world lore, interesting characters, and some eventful battles. As mentioned earlier, Solo Leveling excels at making most, if not, all of Sung’s and other hunter’s battles thrilling narratively, musically, and visually. While it’s not a perfect series, fans should give Solo Leveling a shot.

Made In Abyss
Similarities – Adventure, Fantasy, Storytelling
“Never judge a book by its cover” is a phrase people have heard before. It’s a phrase that best describes Made In Abyss. The series may look adorable on the surface, but much like this story’s abyss, it’s far from cozy. Made In Abyss revolves around Riko and Reg as they explore their world’s deep abyss in search of answers.
Much like Clay, Riko is searching for her long-lost parental figure. Lyza, Riko’s parent in question, is a mysterious and formidable character in this universe. She and Brance have similar aura as they’ve accomplished things that’ll pique fans’ curiosity about them.
Riko’s other companions like Reg and Nanachi are compelling characters too. They have incredible personalities and fans will bawl their eyes out once they learn about Nanachi’s harsh upbringing. While Made In Abyss offers a mature, deep, and gutwrenching tale unlike Dungeon People, the latter’s fanbase may find Made In Abyss to their liking.

Hunter X Hunter 2011
Similarities – Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Hunter x Hunter 2011 may sound like a ridiculous anime to compare Dungeon People to. However, upon closer inspection, both anime offer multiple similarities. First and foremost, both series feature young leads embarking on a quest to look for their father figure.
With Clay, she’s searching for Brance. As for Gon, he leaves Whale Island, his home, to become a hunter and find his father, Ging. As with Lyza and Brance, Ging is another mysterious parental figure that’ll pique fans’ curiosity throughout the series.
His subtle appearances will entice folks to speculate about his goals, accomplishments, and whereabouts. Family comparisons aside, both worlds feature unique anthropomorphic creatures, compelling battles, and heartfelt moments between their leads and support groups.
These connections make Hunter x Hunter 2011 a solid anime to recommend for Dungeon People’s crowd.
Cells at Work
Similarities – Action, Comedy, Work Life
We’ve discussed adventurous tales so far, so why not recommend an anime that tackles workplace management to the same degree as Dungeon People? Enter Cells at Work. This is a sci-fi anime with a pinch of medical and educational allure. In it, we follow two blood cells that must protect their human host from illnesses.
These cells encounter all types of baddies on the job like common human allergies. Much like Clay, AE2803 and 1146 have their work cut off for them in this universe. Work-life similarity aside, Cells at Work’s universe is well-detailed and crafted.
Audiences will be bewildered by the amount of research Akane Shimizu did to create this tale. Some may walk away appreciating some elements of their own body after watching this. Next to having some nice comedic and action segments, Cells at Work shouldn’t disappoint.
Spirited Away
Similarities – Adventure, Fantasy, Work Life
Surprisingly, Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away isn’t too different from Dungeon People. First and foremost, both stories follow female leads who work in a supernatural setting. Where Clay works at the Antomurg Dungeon, Chihiro performs several odd jobs in the Spirit Realm.
Additionally, each locale is run under a powerful female who dabbles in the mystic arts. While Belle’s more wholesome than Spirited Away’s Zeniba, one can’t help but notice the comparison. Next, the Antomurg Dungeon and Spirit Realm carry numerous living organisms with special characteristics.
From Rangard’s golem allies to Chihiro’s buddy No-Face, fantasy fans are in for a treat with both anime. But all in all, watch Spirited Away if you want a well-crafted, imaginative, and enjoyable anime after Dungeon People completes its seasonal run.
Animal Crossing: The Movie
Similarities – Fantasy & Iyashikei
Not many people know this, but anime versions of Nintendo’s best properties exist. From F-Zero to Fire Emblem, many great video game anime adaptations are out there, waiting for people to watch them. Animal Crossing: The Movie is one of the better video game-turned-anime adaptations.
Animal Crossing: The Movie follows Ai, a girl who traverses an area filled with colorful creatures, much like Clay. From talking cats to wise turtles, even newer Animal Crossing fans will find these characters adorable and enjoyable. Most importantly, Ai and Clay are hard-working individuals in their respective locales.
Where Clay assists folks with dungeon-themed chores, Ai occasionally assists the animal villagers with their realistic issues. Some activities include delivering packages, setting up festivities, and comforting villagers when they’re down in the dumps.
Overall, if you love Dungeon People’s comfy story segments, then Animal Crossing: The Movie will satisfy that itch too.
Management of a Novice Alchemist
Similarities – Fantasy & Work Life
If there’s one aspect of Dungeon People fans love, it’s the show’s cozy atmosphere. Management of a Novice Alchemist may not be the most finely-written fantasy anime, but its relaxing atmosphere will keep fans interested. Our story follows Sarasa. She’s a girl who grew up as an orphan after losing her family members at a young age.
This event encourages Sarasa to pursue alchemy to keep her family’s business afloat. Sarasa is a competent and determined female protagonist who’ll triumph over obstacles that get in her way. Like Clay, Sarasa will offer folks a helping hand. Sarasa is also a skilled inventor who likes developing nifty gadgets for her shop.
Her activities will remind folks of the neat tools Rangard developed for Clay, like Clay’s woman’s armor set. Sarasa’s relationship with her employee Lorrea is touching and mirrors the chemistry Belle and Clay share (so far). Next to having some compelling work management themes, this is a fine anime to add to your watchlist.
Ruin Explorers Fam & Ihrie
Similarities – Fantasy, Adventure, Themes
Ruin Explorers Fam & Ihrie (Ruin Explorers) is a fun retro gem Dungeon People’s crowd may like. This comedic adventure series follows Fam and Ihrie. This duo craves adventure and loves exploring new ancient locations to find incredible treasures. They’ll encounter all types of weird happenings from fierce beasts to quirky travelers.
Much Dungeon People, Ruin Explorers’s setting is charming and creative. Fans will adore seeing our duo clash with people in spooky castles or go for casual strolls in festive towns. Dungeon People fans will love Ruin Explorers’s ordinary and thrilling story segments.
However, Ruin Explorers’s humor is pivotal to its storytelling than Dungeon People’s. Essentially, the show’s humor will factor into one’s enjoyment of the series. If you’re okay with a more humorous adventure anime, give this 90s gem a watch.
Amagi Brilliant Park
Similarities – Comedy, Fantasy, Work Life
Fortunately, Clay doesn’t have much to worry about regarding her Antomurg Dungeon career. This is due to Belle being a friendly administrator. Amagi Brilliant Park’s Seiya would be jealous of Clay’s easygoing experience. In Amagi Brilliant Park, Seiya gets roped into helping Amagi Park’s owner, Latifa, and her friend Sento, manage the park.
They have less than three months to meet the desired guest ratio, otherwise, the park will be shut down. After Seiya realizes the park shelters mystical critters who feed off the joys of the park’s customers, he agrees to help these gals with their dilemma.
Like Dungeon People, Amagi Brilliant Park features its characters participating in joyous activities. Some activities include keeping guests’ children at bay, holding night parties, and exploring dungeon-like areas for the thrill factor. Both stories offer comedic moments, but many will find Amagi Brilliant Park’s humor more delightful.
Next to offering fans a fun approach to workplace culture, Amagi Brilliant Park is an early 2010s gem worth watching.
